Dr. Jones spent the majority of her childhood in Westminster, Colorado but originally was from Lubbock, Texas. She attended The University of Colorado in Boulder and double majored in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry. Dr. Jones went on to perform molecular research for The University of Colorado Heart Center. She has had multiple presentations and published numerous papers about the molecular mechanisms of human myocytes. During this time, she studied towards a Masters in Software Engineering at the University of Denver.
She received her MD at The University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2001 and accepted a General Surgery Internship at the same hospital. After being offered residency positions in both Orthopedics and General Surgery, she decided that Emergency Medicine is her true passion. She completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Denver Health Medical Center where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Jones has been with Ergentus since 2005 where she serves on the Emergency Preparedness Hospital Committee that works closely with local and federal agencies to ensure high-quality hospital and community care.
Dr. Jones enjoys all Colorado has to offer especially hiking 14ers, snowshoeing and high country gardening. However, most of her spare time is spent with her husband and two spirited toddlers.
